International Register of

Scuba Technicians

The International Register was established in 1996 by  the International Association of Scuba Technicians in close cooperation with its members, the diving equipment manufacturers, and dive industry experts.  It is designed to recognize the Scuba Technician as a qualified professional that has met a standard of proficiency.

Although, these are not the only qualified scuba technicians, these are among the first to be certified within the scuba industry.  Providing safe and efficient service on underwater life support systems with knowledge of  multiple manufacturer's products.

The Register requires that technicians provide proof of their training and have met the requirements for their level of recognition.

To obtain this recognition, it is necessary for the scuba technician to have participated in an equipment program, a cylinder inspection program - provided by a recognized authority, and has attended the manufacturer’s training that covers the equipment to be serviced.
